Tammsaare park

Tammsaare Park is a green oasis in the heart of Tallinn, situated between the Estonia Theatre and the Viru Keskus shopping center. Established in 1947 on the site of the former "New Market," it was named after Estonian literary classic Anton Hansen Tammsaare. The park features monuments, including a statue of Tammsaare, a memorial to the victims of the 1905 revolution, the "Mermaid" sculpture, and a monument to Estonia's first president, Konstantin Päts. Following its 2018 renovation, the park offers modern public spaces with cozy pathways, benches, a children's playground, and a café pavilion.
